By using pulseandpath.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. Pulse & Path is operated by Type 5 Marketing LLC.

What this site is — and is not

Pulse & Path publishes editorial opinion and analysis about consumer training wearables, built from published validation research, manufacturers' own specifications and arithmetic we show. It is an information resource.

It is specifically NOT:

• A testing laboratory. We have not worn, owned or physically tested any device covered on this site, and we say so on every relevant page.
• Medical advice. Nobody here holds a clinical qualification. No device discussed here is presented as a diagnostic instrument. If you have a health concern, see a doctor.
• A retailer. We sell nothing and hold no stock. Purchases are made with third-party retailers under their own terms.
• Financial or training advice. How you train is your decision.

Rankings and scores are opinion

The scores on this site are derived from a published rubric with published weights, applied consistently. That makes them transparent and reproducible; it does not make them objective facts. Different weights produce different orders, and we say so on the methodology page.

Where we state that no validation study exists for a device, we mean none that we could find at the time of writing. If you know of one, please tell us and we will correct the page.

Prices and availability

Prices are retrieved from retailer APIs and displayed with the date they were retrieved. They change frequently and without notice. If our data is more than 48 hours old the price is withheld rather than shown.

The price at the retailer at the moment you buy is the only one that counts. We are not responsible for pricing errors, currency differences, shipping costs, taxes, promotional pricing, or a product being unavailable.

Specifications

Specifications are taken from manufacturers' own published materials and are linked so you can verify them. Manufacturers revise specifications, and figures such as battery life are the manufacturer's own claims under their own assumptions — we label them as such and we have not independently verified them.

Check current specifications with the manufacturer before making a purchase decision.

Affiliate relationships

We earn commission on qualifying purchases made through links on this site, at no additional cost to you. This is fully described in our affiliate disclosure. It does not influence rankings, and the published rubric is what makes that claim checkable.

Third-party links

We link to retailers, manufacturers and research publishers. We do not control those sites, are not responsible for their content, and their terms and privacy policies apply once you leave here. Research links may sit behind publisher paywalls we do not control — where we could not access a paper ourselves, we say so rather than citing it.

Intellectual property

Original text, rankings, tables and analysis on this site are the property of Type 5 Marketing LLC. You are welcome to quote short extracts with attribution and a link. Wholesale reproduction is not permitted.

Product images are served from retailer content delivery networks and remain the property of their respective owners. Brand and product names are trademarks of their respective holders, used here for identification only. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any wearable manufacturer.

Limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is". We make no warranty that the information is complete, current or error-free — and given that our own pages document where the evidence is missing, that is a genuine statement rather than boilerplate.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Type 5 Marketing LLC is not liable for any loss arising from use of this site or from a purchase decision made in reliance on it. You are responsible for verifying anything that matters to you before you spend money.

We may update these terms. The reviewed date at the top of this page reflects when they were last changed.
