Your data

Privacy policy

We run a review site, not a data business. This is a short policy because there is genuinely not much to describe.

Last reviewed July 24, 2026

The short version

  • We do not ask you to create an account, and there is nothing to log in to.
  • We do not sell, rent or share your personal information. Ever.
  • We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people read.
  • Affiliate links set a cookie at the retailer's end, not ours.
  • If you email us or use the contact form, we keep your message so we can reply to it.

Who we are

Pulse & Path is published by Type 5 Marketing LLC. For any privacy question, contact info@pulseandpath.com.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are read, roughly where readers come from, and which links get clicked. This tells us what to write next.

Google Analytics collects, in aggregate:

  • Pages viewed and time on page
  • Approximate location, at city level, derived from IP address
  • Device type, browser and operating system
  • Referring site or search engine
  • Clicks on affiliate links — recorded as an event including which merchant and which page, so we can tell which recommendations readers find useful

We do not use Analytics to identify individuals, and we have no way to connect this data to a name. To opt out entirely, install Google's official opt-out browser add-on, or use any standard tracker blocker — the site works normally without analytics loaded.

Affiliate links and cookies

When you click a buy link here, you pass through our /go/ redirect and on to the retailer. That redirect exists so the link can be tagged and so we can count the click; it does not set a tracking cookie of its own.

The retailer — normally Amazon — then sets its own cookie so that a purchase can be credited to us. That cookie is governed by the retailer's privacy policy, not ours, and typically lasts 24 hours. See Amazon's privacy notice. More on how the commercial side works on our affiliate disclosure page.

The contact form

If you send us a message we receive your name, email address, chosen topic and message text, delivered to our inbox by email. We use it to reply to you and, where you have reported an error, to correct the site.

We do not add you to a mailing list — there is no mailing list. We do not pass your details to anyone else.

The form includes basic spam protection: a hidden field that only automated submissions fill in, a timing check, and a per-address rate limit. None of it profiles you or stores anything beyond the submission itself.

What we do not do

  • No accounts, no passwords, no profiles
  • No advertising networks and no retargeting pixels
  • No selling or sharing of personal data
  • No newsletter, so no email list to leak
  • No fingerprinting or cross-site tracking of our own

Hosting and third parties

The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard server logs including IP addresses for security and delivery. Product images are served from Amazon's content delivery network, so requesting a page with product photos on it contacts Amazon's servers. Fonts are served from our own domain rather than a third party.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of any personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to its processing. In practice the only personal data we are likely to hold is a message you sent us.

Email info@pulseandpath.com and we will act on it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it. We do not make quiet edits here for the same reason we do not make them to our corrections.
